Welcome to the Wolverine Pathways application page!

The application is open for scholars attending the schools below. All other eligibility rules still apply.

Eligibility Requirements

  • scholars must reside in Ypsilanti Community Schools district (No exceptions are made for this requirement.)
  • scholars must currently be in 6th or 9th grade
  • scholar must have at least a 3.0 academic g.p.a.

The Southeast Michigan Wolverine Pathways application window closed February 28, 2026. 
The Grand Rapids application window closed March 20, 2026.

Southeast Michigan applicants can expect to receive a decision via their parents’ email by mid June 2026.
Grand Rapids applicants can expect to receive a decision via their parents’ email by July 2026.

Applications for Southeast Michigan initiated after February 28, 2026 will not be considered for admission.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are currently a 6th-grade or 9th-grade student.
  • You live within the Detroit Public Schools District or within the Ypsilanti Community Schools District or the Southfield Public Schools District.
  • For 6th-grade applicants, students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum academic GPA of 2.8 (ELA/English, Social studies/History, Science, Mathematics and World Language classes).
  • For 9th-grade applicants, students must have an overall GPA of 3.2 and a minimum academic GPA of 3.0 (ELA/English, Social studies/History, Science, Mathematics and World Language classes).

Admitted Student Requirement(s)

  • Admitted students will be required to show legal documentation to verify their home address as a part of the enrollment process. Use this school district tool to confirm you live within Detroit, Southfield or Ypsilanti Community School districts.

Application Deadline

  • Applications are due by Saturday, February 28, 2026.
  • Recommendations (a required section of the application) are due no later than Saturday, February 28, 2026.
